MODERN RUSSIAN PROSE

Celebrates a significant work of a contemporary author, which deeply explores the boundaries of human experience and carries within itself the ideals of humanism. A long list of awards is formed in May, a short list in September. The laureate is announced in October. FOREIGN LITERATURE

Selects the most important fiction books by contemporary foreign authors, translated into Russian. A long list of this nomination is compiled by experts and is considered a real navigator of foreign literature. The long list is announced in March. The laureate - a foreign writer and translator of the book into Russian - will be announced in October. Laureates of the nomination: Venko Andonovski, Yu Hua, Julian Barnes, Patricia Dunker, Hernan Rivera Letelier, Amos Oz, Mario Vargas Llosa, Orhan Pamuk, Ruth Ozeki.

MISSED MASTERPIECES

This category will celebrate an outstanding work of world literature translated in the 21st century, but unnoticed by Russian critics and translators at the time of its publication and which has been discovered by readers only after the death of the author. The short list of the nomination is formed by the award's experts.

PERSONALITY OF THE YEAR

This year the “Event” category will be renamed and becomes the “Personality of the Year” category. The winner of this nomination will be someone who has made a special contribution to the development of Russian literature - a writer, poet, literary critic, literary academic, theater or film director, who has adapted a literary work for the stage or screen, or any public or cultural figure who has had a significant impact on the literary life of Russia.
